personalised cups

disclaimer: this post doesn't  mean to hurt or defame any person/organization. For anything regarding violation of policies or anything you can write to me, I'll move this out to the draft section  :).

I work for an organization which feeds around one lakh fifty thousand souls. No I'm not into food industry. Just to make it clear(in case you pictured it wrong), I'm working for an IT service provider.

Evening 4'oclock, if conditions are favorable we usually come out for tea.  More than enjoying the tea we enjoy looking at the girls.  Wait... Why are these guys and girls carrying their own personalized tea cups(coffee mugs). Whenever I've see that, thoughts pour in........

  • might be because they are afraid of getting diseases transmitted through cups(even if it's sterilized).

  • might be for multipurpose. Yes I've a friend who has a huge cup with a large base, she usually takes that only for the morning break, she puts cornflakes and mix it with milk, have it as her breakfast. Normally this happens when she turns up late. I really envy her for that. Being an early raiser usually @9,  after reaching office most of the times I've to be satisfied with the brunch.
  • May be it reminds them of their dear ones who presented it with the wonderful wordings and sometimes with a cropped image.

  • One day I got a strong valid reason that gave me more clarity on this, here is the situation. As we do normally, selected a nice cup which was kept upside down in the deck. Took some hot water and dipped a tea bag. I noticed a dark red patch of color to the brim of the otherwise white cup. Guess what? Yes it was a patch of lipstick(I actually got it confirmed from my test-lead who was a lady and was with me for coffee). Was that a mistake from the pantry boy? the lady with the lipstick? or me choosing the wrong cup from the deck labelled "Clean Cups"?.  Anyways, now I got a printed one for myself. And I'm still searching for that lady with the dark red lips...

    Moments!

Have you felt content for no reason? I would say I'm lucky that I've experienced that a couple of times. You may think me as a Psycho as you skim through this post. But I must admit that it's a very nice experience(being content for no reason). Many places I've seen/heard about "live in the present", "live as if today is your last day on earth", WTF how is it possible when you have hundreds of things going in back of your mind?  I don't understand. How's that possible? simply rubbish . You may be expecting some tips or explanations for the statements that I just made above(in fact made by some intellectuals) sorry to disappoint you dear friend I don't have any. It's your life and you have to live it, no one can help it. I've read lot of self help books and shits but nothing works because its different for different people, something worked for someone doesn't mean that it'll work for you too. "Only I can find what I want". I'm finding a bit released after typing this, because I'm coming out of the shell now. "live freely, open up, speak up your mind, don't mind what others think", I've heard all these things but is it possible? obviously the answer from my side is a big NO even without a second thought. Yes I can't just go to his cabin and start firing him. I can't go and propose a girl just like that. it all has it's own constraints. May be its because of my second thoughts, a don't care attitude person might have said yes for the above questions. That's why just some few sentences above I came up with the point that every individual has his/her own thing that would work and things that would not work. What do you say on this??? No, no need to comment on it here, you can mail me :)

    Kamalhassan watercolor

    I-m-proving...........
You can take it either as "I'm proving" or "Improving". Both fits well in my perspective :). Here's the third one  from the series. I enjoyed doing it, hope you won't get bored looking at it.

    Ilayaraja watercolor

Here comes the second effort, I'm quite happy with how the ears came out. Even though the color mixing dragged me to some extent, it was fun.

yes here also, scope for improvement. right?

    Leonardo dicaprio watercolor

Yes, after the initial resistance I've started playing with colors, Of course I'm not sure whether I've done justice or not but here comes the results...

this was done on my sketchpad(120 gsm and A4 size) with camel student grade watercolor. I feel like there is scope for more improvement, what do you say?

ps: the picture is of low quality as I've clicked it with my outdated phone, I'll try to upload a scaned version of this :)

Yes, we have something in common.

    1. Have you ever entered a lift and forgot to give the request to which floor you need to go.And you will be embarrassed,
case:1) when someone enters from the same floor or
case:2)waiting in the lift thinking ‘what the hell has gone wrong? Why the lift is not moving?’

2.Have you ever flashed out of a lift before reaching the floor that you've requested and wondered why  you did that?

3.And here is the most funniest one……….
You have connected the mobile charger to the same socket from where you are feeding the office desktop, and in between some of your friends ask for the mobile charger, without a second thought you switch off the socket power.. removes the charger and hands it over to him/her with a smile and turns to your machine, suddenly you realize that you've done a blunder. After the initial shock, when the brain starts functioning again, you think about what all things has to be redone?  whether  you've used the cntrl+s combination some time ago and things like that.

ps: Yes what you thought was correct… I’ve been in to all these situations. May be you may not get the slice of what I shared here now.  But once you come across this and thinks of this post, Bingo! That’s what I wanted…….purpose served!

    cigarettes

I've tried it but didn't felt anything special so just gave up. Some days back I came across a feature on e-cigarettes, from then on the thought of blogging about cigarettes was back in my mind.
I've seen many people who're addicted, and even know the pain of loosing my friend to cancer.  I've came across people who genuinely want to have a control over it but couldn't(giving weird reasoning and explanations). The most funny and interesting explanation that I received was this one and was from my former room mate, he's in his early 30's, here it goes 'Cigarette is a friend that I've met while in college, who has given me company while doing late night assignments and also the sleepless nights before the exams, and how can I let go this dear friend for the sake of  a few more valid days to my life'. I was dumb stuck by this innocent explanation, thereon I've never talked anything about cigarettes to him.
It's okay in a bachelor/spinster life since we don't need to answer anyone, but after marriage if  spouse doesn't likes it........... hm you guessed it right... you're going to screw it up.

Mustache is the main culprit in carrying the smell of  smoke, so if there's mustache beware, clean up to remove the smell before you reach home(and that's one task down for the clean shaved guys :)), in addition to this, after smoke a mint would help reduce the smell. Whatever, if one is mature enough to stop this habit it's good for all.

    PS:
I've heard some of my married friends giving a three minute frencher before the other gets into the apartment. Might be there's a hidden motive behind that...
