acrylics painting

I bought the acrylics paint long back and totally forgot about it after using once or twice. Most of the paint got hardened and spoiled.  Just thought of sharing one random work which I did recently with the colors that came out of the tube(which were still alive and flowed out seemlessly).  Here's the palette, it doesn't have much colors for the obvious reason stated above.

This was a wet on wet study on one of my favorite cool subject - "ambalakkulam".  As I do for most of my works, was very much concerned about the result. But with that thought in mind it took much longer than expected.  This work was on my easel for long - unfinished.  Just changing the mindset from being result oriented to 'enjoy the process of doing it' helped me signing it in this shape :)

I just glanced to figure out how many posts I've made this year. The result was very disappointing, only one! Usually everywhere people set some targets and try to achieve it. Here in this place I don't follow a plan/target as such, but here on I'm trying to stick to two posts per month(that adds upto 24 posts per year) on an average. Okay that sounds like a plan!!! and here's the first post in that direction.
I got a reference picture, and tried to reproduce it. Don't know whether I've done justice. But this is how it looked finally..

This was my first endeavor in oil pastel. It was a fast work, have not spend more time on this and wanted to complete it as soon as possible, (because if there are no timeline I may not finish this work aswell, I've lots of unfinished works in my list and doesn't wanted to addup this also). This was made on a sketchbook with camlin oil pastels.
